The FBI said Friday that North Korea was responsible for the massive and embarrassing hack against Sony Pictures.
After weeks of rumors, speculation, and anonymous sources pointing their fingers, the agency accused the regime of Kim Jong-un of being behind the attack that destroyed the systems of Sony Pictures and caused a seemingly never-ending spill of company secrets. The leaks, as well as the hackers' subsequent threats of violence, prompted Sony to cancel the release of the Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy The Interview, which revolves around an improbable CIA plot to kill the leader of the reclusive communist nation.
