We’ve covered some pretty spectacular animal stories over the past year, ranging from “aww”-inspiring to downright freaky. We saw photos of a little girl who grew up with elephant and cheetah friends in Africa, and were shocked at how humans are milking blood from horseshoe crabs. There was a strange little green cat running around the streets of Varna, Bulgaria, and we learned about a bizarre little tick whose bite can turn people into vegetarians! From a heartbreaking story about how our actions are causing sea turtles to break out in tumors to a shriek-inducing tale of a Baltimore warehouse infested with over 100 million spiders, our animal stories have certainly kept us on our toes.
