Love it or hate it, it was hard to ignore the Daily Dish
That was true throughout the 15-year old blog's life, through its various stints at The Atlantic, Time and the Daily Beast and finally as an independent paywalled blog. And it was certainly true of Wednesday's announcement by Andrew Sullivan, the Dish's founder and primary author, that he was stepping away from blogging altogether
"There comes a time when you have to move on to new things, shake your world up, or recognize before you crash that burn-out does happen," Sullivan wrote. "I am saturated in digital life and I want to return to the actual world again ... although it’s been a joy and a privilege to have helped pioneer a genuinely new form of writing, I yearn for other, older forms."
