Genesys Works recruits highschoolers from these underrepresented groups, including low-income kids, and places them in year-long paid internships in the IT departments of tech and non-tech companies in their senior year, with the hope that the exposure to computers, corporate culture and adult mentors working in professional jobs will get them on the path to a technology-related college career.
