LONDON — The former News of the World Editor who was jailed for conspiracy to hack the phones of crime victims, politicians and celebrities has been released from prison after serving five months of an 18 month sentence
Andy Coulson was released Friday morning from Suffolk's Hollesley Bay Prison, leaving by car and saying nothing to reporters, according to the BBC. It has been reported that as a condition of his early release, he will have to wear an electronic tag until he has served out half of his full sentence
46-year-old Coulson, a onetime aide to Prime Minister David Cameron, was convicted following an eight-month-long trial prompted by revelations of illegal eavesdropping at the now-closed tabloid, which was owned by Rupert Murdoch Read more...
