We know — Middle Earth is safe, and that's all that matters. But the Fellowship from The Lord of the Rings clearly had some major communication issues.
Surely, had Gandalf told everyone he was chill with the Eagles, someone would've suggested getting their help, right? And perhaps a prescreening for Fellowship members to ensure nobody would try to kill the ring-bearer? We're just spitballing, here.
