16 arrested in Ferguson as protests continue across the U.S.

Sixteen protesters were arrested in Ferguson, Missouri, on Friday night, as demonstrations raged on for a fifth day since Monday's grand jury announcement


Those arrested Friday were among 100 who marched in front of the city's police and fire departments. Protests in Ferguson and across the U.S. have been ongoing since a Missouri grand jury said it would not indict Darren Wilson, a white police officer who shot and killed unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in August



The initially peaceful demonstrations in Ferguson escalated when police told protesters they were illegally blocking West Florissant Avenue, and ordered them to vacate the area. When some protesters refused to move, officers arrested them. Read more...
