Huawei's TalkBand B2 is a fitness tracker for athletic business professionals

Huaweitalkband

BARCELONA — While the stunning Huawei Watch was the star of the Chinese manufacturer's Mobile World Congress press event on Sunday, it also unveiled two additional wearables: the TalkBand B2 wristband and TalkBand N1, Bluetooth earbuds that monitor your movements and speaks to you.

While the names are a bit clunky and far from sexy, both devices itself are sleek and even elegant as far as fitness trackers go. That's because, at least in the case of the TalkBand B2, it's a wearable for business professionals who don't want to wear a sporty wristband in the board room

Huaweimediapad

BARCELONA — While Huawei's biggest news at Mobile World Congress on Sunday is the arrival of its stunning smartwatch and two wearables aimed at business professionals, the Chinese manufacturer also dedicated stage time to unveil what it calls the world's slimmest 7-inch tablet

The MediaPad X2 comes in at 7.28 mm thick and features an all-metallic, sleek body. The 7-inch ultra 1200 x 1920 HD IPS screen goes all the way to the device's edges to make for an easy viewing experience.

The device comes with a 2.0GHz Kirin 930 ultra-octa chipse, a powerful 5,000 mAh battery (which gets about a day of battery life), a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera — with a wide angle of 22mm, the company said the feature is perfect for "panorama selfies." Read more...

Huawei's second-generation wearable gets a stylish makeover

So many companies are afraid to do something different, so we have to give props to Huawei for persisting with its wrist-worn Bluetooth earpiece. Last year's TalkBand B1 was unconventional, but it wasn't the most elegant or stylish device ever design...

Ap160232504029

MOSCOW — Thousands of people are gathering in central Moscow on Sunday to remember Boris Nemtsov, the Russian opposition leader gunned down in cold blood just before midnight on Friday, as police continue the hunt for his killer.

Nemtsov, a former deputy prime minister turned staunch government critic, himself had planned and promoted the march to protest against the economic policies of President Vladimir Putin and the ongoing war in eastern Ukraine, in which the Kremlin denies playing any role despite a preponderance of evidence proving otherwise.
